Sail GP

For the second year in a row, Laissez Faire catered for Sail GP which was held on Sydney Harbour over two weeks in February 2025. We successfully delivered 5,807 meals at three iconic Sydney locations - Glebe Island, Barangaroo, and Shark Island. We provided fresh and delicious meals to 175 athletes, 42 support crew members, and 2600 fans.  

We provided a variety of meal options to address the diverse dietary needs of athletes, crew, media, and fans. This included individually boxed meals, takeaway lunches for athletes, and grazing boxes featuring vegan and gluten-free choices. We were selected for our commitment to sustainability, which was evidenced through use of biodegradable packaging, plant-based options, and locally sourced, organic produce. All leftover food was donated to OzHarvest, resulting in zero waste to landfill. Our precise focus on sustainability and high-quality service ensured the success of this large-scale event.

Our efforts went beyond just providing meals. Our dedication to sustainability helped Sail GP achieve its mission to be the most purpose-driven sports platform. With a focus on fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients, our menus ensured both nutritional value and minimal environmental impact. Furthermore, our agile response to unexpected weather disruptions for a major event, and last-minute requests, demonstrated an ability to handle challenges with professionalism.
