Hordern Pavilion Celebrates 100 Years

The Hordern Pavilion, an iconic Sydney venue since 1924, has been a stage for countless historic events, from rock concerts to fashion shows. On this occassion, we had the honour of contributing to its centenary celebration, a grand event that captured the venue’s vibrant legacy. With an atmosphere reminiscent of a rave, a rock concert, and a red-carpet premiere all in one, the night was filled with energy, nostalgia, and celebration. Guests, with cocktails in hand, mingled and shared memories of this legendary venue.

A key highlight of the evening was our innovative serving experience – a creative homage to the Hordern Pavilion’s rich musical history. Our handcrafted canapés were elegantly presented on vintage vinyl records, creating an immersive and nostalgic culinary journey. The menu featured a diverse selection of canapés to suit all palates, including, cold canapes with gin and sage salt-cured lamb, poached king prawns, and roasted eggplant panna cotta. Hot canapés with Porcini mushroom and cheese arancini, mini lamb pies, and coconut-crumbed chicken skewers. And to top is all off, sweet canapés indulging in brûlée with caramel crunch and mini strawberry tarts.

Our participation in the Hordern Pavilion’s centenary celebration was a resounding success. The innovative food presentation captivated guests, sparking conversations and enhancing the overall experience. By blending culinary artistry with the venue’s storied past, we contributed to a truly unforgettable evening. This event reaffirmed our commitment to creating unique and memorable dining experiences that align seamlessly with the essence of every celebration.
