Wedding trends

A noticeable trend in the wedding industry which is popular with couples  at the moment, is to have the reception and ceremony held at the same venue.  It is often easier for both the bridal party and the wedding guests to have everything take place at the one location.  Local, interstate and overseas guests won't have to battle with the extra cost and logistics of navigating around two sets of directions in order to find different locations being used by the one wedding.

Many unique reception venues have flexible and versatile options available to make use of their distinctively different spaces.  Worth noting is that some venues will charge a ceremony fee but will often offer a discount if you book both the ceremony and reception at the same place. Alternatively, some unique venues have separate rooms available to hire for the ceremony which have heritage, landscape or waterfront aspects to enjoy.

At the moment, venues with a special outdoor ceremony area are very popular.  We are also seeing many brides hold their ceremony and reception in one large room.  This allows for the ceremony to take place to one side of the room or on the dance floor, leaving a space for the dinner or cocktail party celebration to follow.
