ANMM, Lighthouse Gallery Launch

Laissez-faire partnered with the Australian National Maritime Museum, to the launch the museum’s newest event space, the Lighthouse Gallery into the Sydney market. 

Held on Thursday 3 April, a clear weathered evening blessed the celebration, Industry VIP guests attending the evening, were welcomed by flame throwers and aerobat’s, adorning the majestic HMAS Vampire.   

With the support of the event partners Decorative Events and AV1, The Lighthouse Gallery was light in such a way, it unmissable upon approach. Entering the venue via the red carpet, the expansive museum interior had been transformed into a sophisticated lounge bar and the floor-to-ceiling water views of the Harbour with the stunning CBD backdrop, truly distinguished the Australian National Maritime Museum as a remarkable event venue. 

The venue was introduced to all by the Master of Ceremonies, Darren Isenberg, formally opened by Robyn Holt Councillor of the Australian National Maritime Museum and Deanna Varga from Australian National Maritime Museum gave the final toast of the evening, declaring the venue open for business. The expansive museum styled interior provides an awe-inspiring platform to host product launches, gala dinners, cocktail events and conferences.  

All the formalities aside, guests were treated to the customised menu created by Laissez-faire, choices were chic and refined.  Elegantly dressed and attentive wait staff provided by Clifford Wallace, ensured every guest was able to indulge in one of two signature cocktails for the evening; the Passionfruit Mojito or Honey Old Fashioned. With the cocktail bar kept busy, exquisite canapés celebrating the nautical theme were served.  

The true object of desire on the night was the Chocolate & Cognac Bar, homemade chocolates & complementing cognacs for choosing were presented by two dashing bar men in white. With award winning cuisine on offer and state of the art in-house AV, this venue lends itself to a multitude of events and clients. The opportunity to engage your event guests with the museum’s world class exhibitions, truly ensure an event held at the Australian National Maritime Museum cannot be overlooked.
