The Great Hall
The Great Hall of the University of Sydney, Australia, is one of the principal structures of the university, with a public interior used for formal ceremonies, conferences, recitals and dinners. The Hall, located in the Main Quadrangle on the Camperdown campus, is a symbol of the university's stately history and an excellent example of Victorian Gothic revival architecture.
Accommodating weddings, cocktail affairs and seated soirees, this diverse venue mixed with its old world charm will be a delight for all guests and creating a unforgettable event.
MacLaurin Hall
The MacLaurin Hall is one of Sydney University’s Grandest Old rooms. Situated on level 2 in the Main Quadran-gle Building it is in the heart of Campus and gives any event an air of grace and style second to none. The Mac-Laurin Hall can cater for up to 350 for a dinner event (round tables), slightly less if a dance floor is required. For cocktail events, concerts, etc the Hall can cater for 450 guests. For exhibitions the Hall offers 565 m2.
In addition to the MacLaurin Hall you might like to hire the majestic Quad Lawns, Botany Lawn or the Cloister areas for pre-drinks or breakout space. These areas offer a beautiful dimension to an event and another per-spective of the beautiful Main Quadrangle. These areas do come at an additional cost so please enquire if you would like to include these areas. Marquees and furniture are permitted by application only.
