Laissez-faire Catering will be putting a spring into the step of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney’s signature event space, The Calyx, after being appointed to run their food offering in a 10-year exclusive contract.
We know you will love this spectacular organic space for functions, parties and weddings; and anticipate it to be one of the most sought-after venue spaces in the Sydney CBD.
The Calyx has a capacity of up to 400 people and showcases both an indoor glasshouse drenched in natural light and an outdoor terrace, so your guests really get the best of both worlds. Breathe in the nature and experience a garden like no other, while feasting on delicious seasonal and locally sourced food.
Corporate events
We invite you to take a stroll into nature for your next event. We know once you’ve set eyes on this organic space, you’ll love it as much as we do. Talk to our friendly team to come and view the venue and enjoy a site inspection.
Weddings
Full packages are available to make wedding days easy and memorable, including ceremonies at one of the Garden’s beautiful lawns, followed by an incredible reception at The Calyx.
Café
The Calyx has a café for public visitors, which is open daily 8am–4pm. The Calyx Café will re-launch in July as Leaf Department. Laissez-faire Catering have partnered with Nathan Dalah, co-founder of the hugely popular Fishbowl, Side Room and Fish Shop, to collaborate on this new botanic inspired Café concept.
